Our green-minded philosophy

Green infrastructure improves biodiversity, air quality and water management, reduces heat and noise pollution, and boosts creativity, vitality and a feeling of community. Dutch initiative Green Cities Serbia provides complementary solutions for urban greenery. Whether it be the design of public or commercial greenery, renovation projects, parks or other green spaces: our partners are experts in delivering high-quality designs, products and services which take into account the wishes of customers as well as the local population.

Each partner brings long-term experience and expertise to the table. Together we ensure end-to-end success of urban greening projects, from storm-water management to infrastructure and from sustainable nursing to biodiversity enhancement.

Our experience in Serbia

Belgrade’s Ada Mall and Beo Shopping Center are just two examples of how well this integrated approach works. For the execution of these megaprojects, the Green Cities Serbia consortium already successfully cooperated with local Serbian partners to create Belgrade’s attractive malls. We also collaborated on Green Heart, Belgrade’s greenest office complex: a green oasis for a daily dose of creativity and relaxation.

Through our green roof terraces, vertical gardens and other green solutions, we contributed to unique green shopping and working experiences. Who’s to say what’s next? Public spaces, rooftop or vertical gardens, public or private parks: you name it, together we realise it.

Towards a long-term partnership

From Belgrade to the rest of Serbia: we aim to be a partner for many years to come. Green Cities Serbia intends to put special emphasis on sharing knowledge and expertise, and training and developing local private and public stakeholders.

Our plans include incoming and outgoing trade missions, vocational training, knowledge exchange, and demonstration centres and projects. We have only just begun. Together, we can turn the most unexpected empty spaces into green spaces. Let’s re-imagine the city together.
