Urban Farming Partners: turning growing cities into thriving farms

Singapore is better known for skyscrapers than farms. Less than one per cent of Singapore's land is used for food production, and most food products are imported from abroad. Urban Farming Partners Singapore (UFPSG), a Singaporean-Dutch partnership, supports achieving local food security.

With the support of the Singapore Food Agency, UFPSG developed a state-of-the-art indoor farm, GroGrace. Using localised Dutch technologies, cities such as Singapore can grow vegetables and herbs in existing buildings without sunlight - bringing Singapore's food security one step closer again.
