PIB members Nophadrain and Barenbrug were present with presentations and participation to the debates to one of the thematic workshops of the conference : “Resilience of the landscape - ecological restoration - protection and improvement of natural systems integrated in the landscape”.

The PIB ULR organized an event on the Green Transition during the opening session of the Hortus Flor Show Romania promoting inspirational examples for project concepts and species varieties of planting material and with support from Van den Berk member of the cluster.
The module planted in November 2019 in the campus of the USAMV Bucharest proved sustainable and well-adjusted to the Romanian climate conditions.
A demonstration area was planted based on innovative design developed by PIB member Vic Landscapes using planting material from Ebben, Van den Berk and Molter.
HAS University organized a meet & greet event with Romanian universities as a dialogue for identification of common challenges in Romania and the Netherlands for adaptation of the educational offer for training the new generation of professionals and designing strategic lines for bilateral cooperation.
PIB member companies met on line to brainstorm on a 1 year internship program for Romanian students. The program supported by all PIB members will be kicked-off in the autumn of 2021 for the benefit of 2 participants from horticulture and architecture universities. The initiative is endorsed by the Romanian Association of Landscaping Professionals ASOP.
The starting of the planting at the new Senate Gardens, to include Dutch materials such as hedges and the bulbs of the specially created Uranus tulip by Jub Holland.
The cluster has become involved in a project aimed at urban regeneration and the perpetuation of collective memory. An innovative garden project at the Romanian Parliament is being implemented with support of the PIB ULR members to demonstrate creative and sustainable solutions for activating urban landscapes.
Victor Dijkshoorn was partner in a dialogue streamed live on Facebook exploring the potential and impact of green spaces in big crowded cities and innovations in local administration.
The cluster was present and promoted across the border in Bulgaria and at EU level during the Green City initiative at an event organised by the Bulgarian Nursery Stock Association and supported by the Netherlands Embassy in Sofia on 22nd October 2020.
To mark the occasion of the International Landscape Day of the European Council, the PIB initiative co-organised a knowledge-sharing event together with the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest and the Royal House of Romania.
